From the best interracial buddy movies to the ones with top swirl, we put together our choices. What are yours?

imageThe Witnesses – When a gay man joins a close group of friends they are forced to deal with the end of the sexual revolution in the early 1980’s because of the AIDS epidemic.  Each character is faced with different obstacles that force them to prioritize and examine not only their thinking but their entire way of life.  Set in Paris and the beautiful French countryside, “The Witness” is a powerful film and a must see if you love French films, or if your life has been affected by the AIDS epidemic.  Starring Michel Blanc, Emmanuelle Beart, and Sami Bouajila.

imageWide Sargasso Sea – In this stunning prequel to Jayne Eyre an Englishman travels to Jamaica in search of his fortune.  Instead he finds love in the form of a beautiful Creole woman.  He is offered a substantial dowry to marry her and does only to learn that her family history is littered with tales of her promiscuity and her mother’s insanity.  He grows disenchanted with the island and they return to his native England where he keeps her locked in a room.  The beautiful scenery of the Caribbean contrasts this heartbreaking love story.  Definitely worth checking out.  Starring Rafe Spall, Rebecca Hall, and Nina Sosanya.
