Sally J. Clasen is a freelance writer based in Phoenix. She grew up with eight siblings in a three-bedroom house in a small town in Iowa. Her first BLUR experience occurred as child when her family hosted Renee, a child from inner-city Chicago for several summers. Her BLUR experiences also include a sister-in-law and niece from the Philippines, as well as multi-cultural friends she’s met through writing adventures. Her goal is to be able to speak Spanish in both the present and past tense, then learn French. She’d also like to spend an entire month at one of those Italian villas, sipping San Pelligrino and eating stinky cheese and crusty bread from a rustic patio as she watches the Tuscan sun drop into the horizon.
