Where I'm from.....
I'm a college student in Rhode Island, though I'm from Philadelphia. My mom's from Italy and my dad's from the U.S. I have five brothers and sisters, and it must be my mother's side that dominates our family time, especially dinners (well meals in general). With great food comes lively conversation....often emotional. Think it's the Italian blood.....though my dad is half Irish, and that's an emotional lot too.
I've always though my life was essentially different from many people that I've known. In a good way. It always seemed like my friends wanted to spend time at my house, to participate in the lively, colorful chaos, and we always wanted them there. I'm convinced that it was the blend of cultures that attracted people to us, to our family personality. I'm glad theres' a place like BLUR that celebrates that!
