Some of the most powerful people in charge of the world today are from the generation of kids who were called baby boomers due to the large rise in births after the closing of the Second World War What's interesting is that while many of these boomers are nearing retirement age or crossing the official threshold into retirement, many of these boomers had children of their own which allowed for small rises in population in years far after the close of the war. For example, the late sixties saw a bump in birth rates since many boomers had reached the age where marriage was common.
