A senator from Montana has been traveling around his state in an effort to promote his Forest Jobs and Recreation act, which he suggests might still be viable even though there is a lack of money in the budget for such an addition to the government's budget. The bill wouldn't have anything to do with well maintained wood lots or exotic wood options but would improve the ability of the government and lumber companies to get wood from areas that otherwise not be available even though the forests are ripe for logging for environmental purposes.
