There are a number of women around the country who have started to become a part of quilting groups that meet on a regular basis for a nice social event and it would seem that all the quilt fabric, needles and designs make for some great conversations and enthusiastic meetings where women are able to create beautiful quilts and also spend time with friends creating something special. Many quilting groups also then give their quilts away as charitable gifts or things that are used to brighten the day of someone who might need a bit of an emotional boost.
