I came to the U.S. to study from the Dominican Republic.
My dad is from the U.S. and my mom from Santo Domingo. I grew up between our cultures with my mom's family nearby and in our lives all the time, and visiting my dad's family in New York City at least once a year.
I come from a big family, five of us, and I'm the oldest. The first to leave home to study. I got the opportunity to study business and economics in Georgia, so that's what I'm doing now. I hope to get a job one day that let's me travel and live in different countries.
I'm really enjoying reading other people's stories here. I feel like we are connected somehow.
